ID4AFRICA 2022 AGM : VIRTUAL, LIVECASTS

The ID4Africa LiveCasts are a testament to “digital transformation building resilience”. Since June 2020, it has allowed the Movement to make even greater strides in advancing the dialogue around the development agenda and ID4D. Now with the reopening of in-person meetings, the LiveCasts will again play a significant role in defining the future of ID4Africa conferencing.

The augmented meeting will consist of two parts—the first is a physical meeting held over two days in Marrakesh followed by 2 dedicated wrap-up and closing LiveCasts that will take place over Zoom starting two weeks after the event. In essence, our Annual Meeting in 2022 is a Physical Assembly augmented by a follow-up Virtual Assembly.

The LiveCasts will carry wrap-up summations and reporting on working group session findings that will then be disseminated to the broader community. This will broaden our reach, providing everyone with an opportunity to participate, even if they were unable to be present in the working group sessions in Marrakesh. It will also enable us to capture what had been discussed at the AGM as conference reports in the form of digital public goods that can be accessed and consulted. A feature that is highly desirable and can be used by the delegates to share the outcomes of our meeting with their colleagues who did not have the chance to attend.

As part of our journey to Marrakesh, stay tuned to this powerful medium for actionable knowledge and insight uniquely tailored to meet Africa’s identity development priorities.
